MARYLAND STUDENTS SET BAR HIGH FOR LEARNING MULTIPLE LANGUAGES

Thousands of recent high school graduates in Maryland can speak multiple languages.  According to the MSDE, two-thousand-743 seniors graduated a year ago with a high level of proficiency in another language besides English.  They call it the Seal of Biliteracy which has been around since 2016.  Some schools around the state are even teaching other languages at the elementary level.
