The Maple Street Bridge over the Youghiogheny River in Garrett County will be resurfaced, beginning Monday. To expedite the work, the bridge will be closed and detours will be in place during the project. Drivers will be guided to First Avenue to Maryland 42 (the Friendsville Road), and back to Maryland Route 742. The bridge deck improvement project should be complete by Thursday, May 2nd, weather permitting. For the latest information on state roads, log onto chart.maryland.gov.
