MARYLAND E-Z PASS CUSTOMERS WARNED ABOUT UNPAID TOLL SCAM

Maryland E-ZPass customers are being warned about an unpaid toll scam that’s been making the rounds in several states. According to the Maryland Transportation Authority, customers are receiving bogus text messages claiming to be sent by “E-ZPass Toll Services” directing them to click a link and pay an outstanding toll balance to avoid a late fee. The MDTA says do not click the link because the information is not valid or accurate and the message should be deleted immediately.  The FBI has received more than two-thousand complaints about the texts from at least three states.
