Dozens of new laws are now on the books following the latest bill-signing ceremony by Governor Wes Moore. Among the measures signed by the governor is the Pava LaPere Legacy of Innovation Act. The legislation provides grants to technology-based start-up companies founded by students from Baltimore-area institutions. The governor also signed a bill that limits what data can be collected by companies from Maryland consumers. Another bill transfers ownership of Pimlico Race Course to the state.
