MARYLAND AMONG BEST STATES FOR COPS

A new study puts Maryland among the best states to be a police officer.  Personal finance website Wallethub compared the 50 states and Washington, DC across 30 key metrics, including median income for law enforcement, police deaths per one-thousand officers and state and local spending on police.  Maryland landed at number six, while California took the top spot.  The worst states to be a cop according to the survey include Nevada, Hawaii and Alaska.
