PENN STATE SETTING UP INCENTIVES FOR BRANCH CAMPUS EMPLOYEES WHO RESIGN

Leaders at Penn State are looking to trim costs by asking branch campus employees to resign.  University officials are launching a program to encourage full-time faculty, staff, and administrators to voluntarily retire or leave for positions elsewhere.  The incentive package will include a year’s salary and six months of subsidized health insurance coverage for those who choose to participate.  Penn State runs a handful of branch campuses in Western Pennsylvania.
