Today is primary election day in Maryland with residents voting for the candidates they want to see on the November ballot.  Polling locations across the state will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. There are U.S. House seats on the ballot along with a hotly contested Democratic race between David Trone and Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks to fill the seat of retiring Senator Ben Cardin.  Former Governor Larry Hogan is in running for the U.S. Senate on the Republican side.  In Baltimore City, incumbent Mayor Brandon Scott is looking for another term in office as is former Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon.
