Preston County Sheriff Paul “Moe” Pritt died Monday night at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, due to complications from an infection. He began his law enforcement career after graduating from the West Virginia Police Academy in 1994. Sheriff Pritt had been running unopposed for re-election in yesterday’s primary. He leaves behind a wife and three daughters.
