Most medical students at Johns Hopkins University will no longer have to pay tuition thanks to a major gift. The university announced yesterday that it is getting one-billion dollars from Bloomberg Philanthropies. Medical students from families making less than 300-thousand dollars a year will not pay tuition beginning this fall. Students from families making less than 175-thousand dollars a year will also have their living expenses covered by the university. The money will also provide additional financial aid for graduate students at the university.
