The attorney representing the family of a Hagerstown man who died in the custody of West
Virginia State Police releases body camera video of the incident. Forty-four-year-old Eddie Exline died after he was tackled, handcuffed, and Tased along Interstate 81 in Berkeley County in 2023. Attorney John-Mark Atkinson says the family wanted to release the videos to raise awareness for more training when responding to someone with mental illness. Footage of the incident has been posted online. Earlier this month, the Exline family received a million-dollar settlement from West Virginia State Police.
