The Savage River Lodge entered into an agreement on July 25th with Maryland for the state’s purchase of the property. Once approved, the area will complete a tract of almost 800 acres of the Mt. Aetna tract of the Savage River State Forest in Garrett County. Savage River Lodge owners Mike Dreisbach and Jan Russell have announced they will be retiring in October.
