The death of an inmate at a Cumberland prison is being investigated as a homicide. The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit says 23-year-old Marvin Brown was pronounced dead at the scene after he was found unresponsive in his cell at the Western Correctional Institution. A Maryland State Police news release says Brown had multiple puncture wounds. According to the release, police have identified another inmate as a suspect, but no charges have been filed and the suspect’s name hasn’t been made public.
