FORMER UNIONTOWN CITY TREASURER CONVICTED OF THEFT

In Fayette County, a former Uniontown city treasurer has been convicted on charges that she stole from taxpayers.  Antoinette Hodge reportedly stole more than 105-thousand dollars in taxpayer funds between 2020 and 2021.  Evidence shows that cash she was to have deposited into city accounts instead went into Hodge’s own pocket and was then used to cover her own personal expenses including an average of more than 15-hundred dollars per day that she spent on playing the lottery.  A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for November 21st.
