WEST VIRGINIA NATIVE REACHES OUTER SPACE

Emily Calandrelli became the first woman from West Virginia to go to space on Blue Origin’s ninth human spaceflight mission.  She describes the eleven-minute journey as a lifelong dream, experiencing weightlessness and viewing Earth from sixty-two miles above.  Calandrelli, known as ‘The Space Gal’, plans to use her platform to inspire young people about space exploration.  Her message emphasizes pursuing seemingly impossible dreams.
