PEPCO ANNOUNCES RATE INCREASES IN D.C., MARYLAND

Pepco bills in DC and some parts of Maryland are increasing this year.  The utility expects average residential customer bills in DC to go up by about six dollars.  Bills for customers in Maryland should increase by about seven dollars.  The increases reflect a rise in distribution and transmission costs, surcharges and weather-related supply factors.
