MD. ATTORNEY GENERAL URGES SCOTUS TO DEFEND MEDICARE PATIENTS’ FREEDOM TO CHOOSE PROVIDERS

Maryland Attorney General Anthony Brown is urging the U.S. Supreme Court to defend Medicare recipients’ freedom to choose their providers.  Brown has joined a coalition of 17 colleagues in filing an amicus brief asking the Court to affirm a lower court decision recognizing an individual’s right to receive care from the qualified providers of their choice – including Planned Parenthood.  Brown says all Marylanders, regardless of their income or insurance, deserve the freedom to choose a medical provider who can meet the full spectrum of their health needs.
