Mrs. Laura Witt has been named the Garrett County Public Schools 2025-2026 Teacher of the Year. She is a second-grade teacher at Broad Ford Elementary. She began teaching with GCPS in 2008. She will go on to compete for the Maryland State Teacher of the Year, which should be announced in October.
