REP. HARRIS HOPES HALTING OF N.Y. WIND PROJECT WILL BODE WELL FOR MD.

Maryland Republican Congressman Andy Harris hopes the Trump administration’s halting of an offshore wind project in New York will put an end to a project off the coast of Ocean City. U.S. Interior Secretary Doug Burgum has called for further review of the New York project, accusing the Biden administration of rushing permit approvals. Harris applauds the Trump administration, saying offshore wind poses a significant risk to the environment, national security operations and marine life and its development should be halted. Harris says during the last few months in office, the Biden administration rushed the permit approval process in Maryland and he’s looking forward to the end of all offshore wind projects in his district.
