MINERAL COUNTY MAN CHARGED WITH BROTHERS’ MURDER

Mineral County resident Michael Wayne Myers has been charged in the shooting death of his brother Sunday, after police responded to a “shots fired” incident in the Beryl area address where both men resided. According to the Cumberland Times-News, the victim was identified as Mark Myers. Michael Myers had previously served a 10-year prison sentence, after pleading guilty to second-degree murder in the killing of his wife, Valerie Kay Myers, in September of 2014. Michael Myers remained jailed without bond at the Potomac Highlands Regional Jail in Augusta.
