KILMAR ABREGO GARCIA RETURNED TO THE U.S. TO FACE CHARGES

A Maryland man, deported to El Salvador, has been returned to the U.S. to face federal charges.  Kilmar Abrego Garcia was removed from the country in March despite a court order blocking his deportation.  U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi announced a federal grand jury has indicted him for allegedly running a years-long operation transporting illegal immigrants throughout the U.S.  Bondi say some of those transported were linked to the MS-13 gang, though Garcia’s attorneys deny he has any gang ties.  She added, if convicted, Garcia will be deported once he completes any prison sentence.
