Maryland Senate President Bill Ferguson and House Speaker Adrienne Jones each received bomb threats on Thursday. Both of the Democratic lawmakers posted messages on X, thanking state and local law enforcement for their response to the threats that turned out to be unfounded. Ferguson says after what happened in Utah and in places like Minnesota over the past several months, it’s clear that tragic political violence is on the rise. He says we must reject the culture of hate and violence that seeks power from fear and division.
