Maryland Governor Wes Moore is joining counterparts from 14 other states in launching the Governors Public Health Alliance. The nonpartisan initiative aims to strengthen coordination, preparedness, and response on public health issues with a goal of protecting the health of people across the U.S. Governor Moore says at a time when the federal government is telling states “you’re on your own” he’s proud to join the alliance. Moore says Maryland believes that everyone should have access to affordable, effective health care.
