The indictment alleges Senator Dalya Attar, her brother, and a Baltimore police officer tried to blackmail a political consultant ahead of the 2022 election. The group allegedly planted a tracking device and hidden camera to capture compromising footage of the consultant. According to the Baltimore Banner, the effort was an attempt to silence criticism of Attar’s campaign.
