MC CLAIN DELANEY, HARRIS REACT TO PASSAGE OF FUNDING BILL AND END OF

SHUTDOWN

Maryland First District Republican and House Freedom Caucus Chair Andy Harris says passage of the government funding bill to end the Democrat-led shutdown is a win for conservatives and the American people. He says it ends the Schumer Shutdown, stops a bloated year-end omnibus dead in its tracks, keeps spending flat, protects President Trump’s priorities, and forces a continuing resolution into January. Sixth District Representative April McClain Delaney joined all of Maryland’s Congressional Democrats in voting no on the measure. She says while a resolution was long-awaited by farmers, small business owners and government workers – the 24-million Americans whose health care premiums will more than double cannot celebrate. She says the fight goes far beyond politics, it’s about values.
