A private foundation gift of 50-thousand dollars is expected to help ease food insecurity issues in Tucker County. The Augusta Family Foundation announced the donation Tuesday, which will be split between the Tucker County Family Resource Network and the Blackwater Ministerial Association. April Miller, executive director of the Tucker County Family Resource Network, says the donation will help them serve families and work with local businesses during a time when food requests have been climbing steadily. Food insecurity in Tucker County schools is nearing a one-hundred percent increase, with the organization now serving 112 students compared to 75 students last year.
