Maria Mastropasqua has been taken into custody, following an incident at the Oldtown Manor apartments yesterday afternoon, in which a threat of mass violence was made. The Cumberland Police, the Allegany County Combined Investigative Unit and the Cumberland Emergency Response Team conducted a search warrant. Residents in the area should expect to see an increased police presence in the area as the investigation continues. There is no threat to the public and the investigation is ongoing. Ms. Mastropasqua was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center pending an initial appearance in Allegany County District Court.
