The Allegany County Commissioners have approved over $387,000 for 22 more emergency repair projects because of the May 13th flooding. According to the Cumberland Times-News, the flood caused $33 million in damage along George’s Creek. The request for funding from the federal government was denied by the federal government. The funding would have helped Allegany and Garrett Counties recover from the flood.
