MARYLAND JOBLESS CLAIMS FALL

Maryland jobless claims are down.  The Labor Department reports just under two-thousand Marylanders filed for unemployment benefits for the week ending November 15th, down about 800 from the previous week.  Nationally, initial claims totaled 220-thousand, a drop of eight-thousand.  Thursday’s numbers come after no reports were issued during the recent government shutdown, which lasted from October 1st through November 12th.
