MDOT ISSUES HOLIDAY TRAVEL TIPS

Maryland transportation officials are urging holiday travelers to put safety first.  With millions expected to hit the roads, rails, and skies for Thanksgiving, MDOT says drivers should slow down, buckle up, and avoid distractions.  So far this year, 425 people have died in crashes across the state, and law enforcement will be out looking for impaired drivers.  Officials also warn of heavy traffic Tuesday, Wednesday and again Sunday after Thanksgiving, and advise traveling during off-peak hours.
