TRIPLE “A” SAYS 1.5 MILLION MARYLANDERS TRAVELING FOR THANKSGIVING

Triple-A is expecting more than one-point-five-million Marylanders to travel for Thanksgiving.  That’s slightly more than last year and the highest number on record for the holiday.  About 91 percent will drive, with the heaviest traffic Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, and again Sunday after Thanksgiving.  Air travel is also up, with more than 104-thousand residents flying to holiday destinations. Gas prices in Maryland are averaging about eight cents less than a year ago.
