Fifty-six-year-old Michael Defibaugh was struck and killed on Route 28, near its intersection with Cumberland Street in Wiley Ford late Monday. He was pronounced dead the UPMC-Western Maryland, according to the Cumberland Times-News. He was struck by a vehicle traveling south on Route 28. Sheriff Joel Whisner says that, to his knowledge, there will be no charges in the case, as there appears to be no negligence involved.
