Former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez, who had been serving a 45-year sentence after being convicted of conspiring to import tons of cocaine into the U.S., was released from the U.S. Penitentiary in Hazleton in Preston County Monday night. President Donald Trump, who issued the pardon, said he felt he was treated unfairly by the Biden Administration. During his trial in New York Federal Court, prosecutors said Hernandez was responsible for moving about 400 tons of cocaine through his country into the United States.
