The first day of the trial of former Somerset County 911 coordinator Bradley Lavan saw its first witness—a Somerset Borough Police officer, who also serves as a local pastor. Lavan is accused of sexually abusing multiple children over a two-year span, with two of the alleged victims being relatives of Lavan. The mother of one of the alleged victims called to ask for a pastoral counseling session. The mother told the pastor that Lavan allegedly forced them and another victim to touch him inappropriately. The trial will continue today in Somerset County.
