Governor Wes Moore has released a statement regarding House Speaker Adrienne Jones’ plans to step down from the speakership. The governor says Speaker Jones’ leadership and mentorship has been instrumental to so many who serve the people of Maryland. He says she leads by example, putting service above self across five decades and that will not change as she steps down from leadership while continuing to serve the Tenth District.
