MARYLAND DEMOCRAT C.T. WILSON ANNOUNCES HOUSE SPEAKER BID

Maryland Delegate C.T. Wilson says he’s running for State House Speaker.  The announcement comes days after Speaker Adrienne Jones announced her resignation. Jones was the first woman and first Black person to serve as a presiding officer in the Maryland General Assembly.  Wilson represents Charles County and is the chair of the House Economic Matters Committee.  He was named Marylander of the Year by the Baltimore Sun in 2023 for pushing the Child Victims Act.
