The West Virginia National Guard says funeral services for fallen Specialist Sarah Beckstrom will be private. Only family-invited guests will attend the dignified transfer and funeral. The date, time and location will not be announced publicly. Beckstrom was killed during a shooting in the nation’s capitol over the Thanksgiving holiday. Staff Sergeant Andrew Wolfe, the other National Guard member injured in the attack, remains hospitalized but is showing positive signs of recovery.
