The director of the state Public Employees Insurance Agency says the PEIA Finance Board made no changes to its original proposal for next fiscal year’s health insurance plan. Director Brent Wolfingbarger told lawmakers the board stuck with a three percent increase in premium costs for workers beginning next fiscal year. The changes also include a 200-dollar monthly spousal surcharge increase. The increases take effect July 1st, 2026. Wolfingbarger says most public comments at meetings held across the state were about the spousal surcharge increase.
