The Maryland Historical Trust has awarded more than 24 million dollars in historic revitalization tax credits for 2026. According to state officials, the funding is expected to leverage more than 137 million dollars in additional private investment for ten redevelopment projects. In Washington County, the recipients include the Heist Building, the Moller Pipe Organ Company Building and the Washington Street School. On the Eastern Shore, the recipient is the Odd Fellows Hall in Talbot County. The six other projects are located in Baltimore City and Prince George’s County.
