Authorities say a “hunting weapon” is what prompted an alert at a school in Fayette County yesterday. Uniontown Area High School was placed on lockdown after someone spotted the object in a vehicle in the school parking lot during class hours. Law enforcement secured the weapon, saying there was no threat to students or staff. The school police department later released a statement thanking everyone at the school for complying with safety protocols, adding that they take all concerns seriously.
