No injuries were reported but two locomotives and 17 empty railcars derailed early Saturday morning near the historic Horseshoe Curve in Altoona. Norfolk Southern said the derailment happened just after midnight. The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Railroad Administration is responding to investigate the cause of the accident. Norfolk Southern crews are on the scene, working on cleanup efforts.
