JUDGE DENIES DNA REQUEST IN SOMERSET COUNTY MURDER CASE

A Somerset County judge has denied Gregory Mostoller’s defense team request for a list of DNA-related data and other documents related to the Shade Township murder case. Judge Scott Bittner noted the defense waited more than two years to ask for additional details after being provided a full DNA report in January of 2024. Mostoller is accused of killing Clifton Earl Johnson in June of 2023, allegedly over a failed property sale. Johnson was found in his barn, shot eight times. A trial is tentatively scheduled for May of this year.
