The Maryland Senate has approved a fiscal 2027 budget that intends to leave the state with a projected $250 million surplus, while closing a $1.4 billion deficit without new fees or tax hikes. The Budget Reconciliation and Financing Act, or BRFA, was approved in the Senate chambers.
