THREATENING CALL MADE TO SOUTHERN HIGH SCHOOL

There was an anonymous threatening call made to Southern Garrett High School yesterday afternoon. Officials say the call appeared to be automated. The school was then placed into Lockdown Status and law enforcement responded. All other Garrett County schools were placed in “Secure” status out of an abundance of caution. Law enforcement personnel searched Southern and declared the building to be safe. Law enforcement is continuing the investigation.
