MAYOR, COUNCIL DISCUSS 19 FREDERICK STREET

The Cumberland Mayor and City Council met in closed session earlier this week, to get legal advice on the property at 19 Frederick Street. The Mayor and Council voted in 2023 to sell the property to Hagerstown-based Clock Tower Ventures, LLC for $1.00, with a contingency the buyer restore the historic building to house a fully operational business within 24 months. If Clock Tower Ventures fails to fulfill the terms of the agreement, the property reverts back to the city. It has been three years now since the deal was struck.
