The Maryland Health Department has now confirmed 148 cases of cyclosporiasis across the state. Officials say 144 of the cases occurred between May 1st and July 28th. So far, no common link for the cases has been determined and the exact cause of the outbreak remains unknown. According to the CDC, there are more than eleven-thousand confirmed cases across 41 states.
