An arrest warrant has been issued for Indianapolis, Indiana resident Terry Reckert, for defrauding Bedford High School of over $1.6 million. The theft was discovered after the Altoona-based company that was hired to conduct renovations at the school claimed they had not been paid. Police say the check that sent was illegally cashed by Reckert, who even claimed ownership of the company. The money has already been reimbursed; the stolen funds were from a loan the had applied for, to complete the renovations. Reckert is facing over a dozen charges, including felonies for theft by unlawful taking, forgery, and tampering with records.
