HIKER INJURED FOLLOWING FALL AT BLACKWATER FALLS STATE PARK

A hiker was injured following a fall at Blackwater Falls State Park Sunday afternoon. The victim fell about 20 feet over a cliff at the Pendleton Point overlook. He suffered serious injuries, including a broken arm, and was flown to Morgantown’s Mon General Hospital for treatment. The West Virginia Natural Resources Police are investigating the incident. The name of the victim has not been released.
