BICYCLIST KILLED IN HIT-AND-RUN ON ROUTE 96

Sixty-five-year old Joseph Williams was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Route 96 in Harrison Township yesterday morning. Williams was riding his bike, when he was struck from behind by another vehicle just before 9 a.m. The driver fled the scene. The suspect vehicle is a burgundy or maroon Ford with damage to the passenger side headlight area and passenger side mirror. Williams was pronounced dead at the scene around 9:45 a.m. Troopers have not released information identifying the driver or a more specific model of the Ford vehicle.
