CEREMONIES, EVENTS MARK 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF TERRORIST ATTACKS

Two ceremonies are scheduled to take place at the Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville, Pennsylvania today. The first will take place from 8:30 to 10:30 near the Wall of Names. The second will take place from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The event, commemorating the 25^th anniversary of the terrorist attacks, will take place, rain or shine. Locally, Cumberland’s City Hall will be closed today from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., to allow city employees to attend the 9/11 25^th Anniversary Memorial Ceremony, being held by the Cumberland Fire and Police Departments. The event will be held on the plaza in front of City Hall. The area will be closed to thru traffic, but will be available for anyone needing handicapped parking access to the event.
