A judge has set a new trial date for a woman accused of killing her children after they disappeared in Montgomery County in 2014. The judge decided yesterday that Catherine Hoggle’s trial will begin in October of next year. The decision comes after Hoggle’s lawyers decided to claim she was not criminally responsible for her actions at the time her children disappeared. The trial will be held in two phases, with the first determining whether Hoggle committed a crime. The second would then determine if she was responsible for her actions. The children’s father, Troy Turner, is a native of Cumberland.
